Once discovered, Roffler-trained hairstylists (and Roffler hair products), are  sought out nation wide.  Roffler set the standard of excellence and it still remains today!

Edmond "POP" Roffler of Coral Gables Florida, discovered and brought this "originally  European"  method of hairstyling to America in 1958.  While new in America, European haircutters have been using  these technique for many years.  "POP" Roffler developed a training system and later franchised people to practice the Roffler Sculpture Kut under his trademark.   In 1966 a group of Roffler stylists won the European Hairstyling Competition in Brussels (a first).  In 1964 there were between 200 - 300 Roffler stylists. In 1979 there were over 4,400 Roffler salons nation wide. Roffler first brought Framesi Hair color into the USA and later the Color PLUS Line was added forming FP Brands. This group was later purchased by Styling Technology. The Colimar Group took over and separated Roffler-Framesi  product lines. Roffler was sold and today Roffler again, proudly stands alone.

ROFFLER hairstyling involves many techniques. The basic Roffler Hairstyles give the same  NAMES to BOTH the Style and the Technique. So when you learn how to do each hairstyle you have learned specific Techniques that are used, to give your clients, specific effects in their hairstyles.

Sound confusing? It's not.  Several years ago S.I. Hayakawa wrote Language in Thought and Action.  One of the ideas is simple. We need words to "think about anything". With the Roffler system the  Name of the style, becomes the word you need to think  and do specific techniques with your hands.

As you learned each of the Roffler techniques you add  mechanical abilities for yours hands  and "hairstyling know how" for your mind. Each new style added a new word, and a new technique to your hairstyling vocabulary. Each new  technique provides one more tool to use when thinking  about hairstyling and solving hair problems. When you start to combine several different techniques, in one haircut,  you are, in fact,  thinking you way to better hairstyles for each of your clients.

Roffler Sculpture Cut :

1. use of the comb for improved sectioning & hair control needed for the Roffler Styling techniques.
2. proper wrist motion for "double layering" shorter hair at the nape using the comb to raise & cut the the hair to "double layer the taper".
3. correct hand & arm positioning, for "double layering"  longer hair
4. creating motion within the hairstyle by moving  the the upper body while maintaining a "fixed frame" arm position.
